Pinterest Marketing For business: Start with a sales process
So if you’ve listened to another podcast episode before this, you’ve most likely heard me talk endlessly about using a simplistic sales process to generate high-quality leads and sales conversions for your business.
As I went into detail about in Episode 50, your sales process is the set of steps you follow as you move a customer through your sales funnel. Your funnel starts when a prospective client is first introduced to your brand and continues after a sale is made.
What’s so incredible about having a set sales process is that you can automate most of your customer interactions from prospecting to selling to nurturing.

Meet special guest and Pinterest Marketer Jennifer Burkhart
And today, I’m excited to be joined by my friend and our CORE brand marketing group Pinterest guru – Jennifer Burkhart. So welcome, Jennifer, back to the Podcast!
She went down the Pinterest Marketing for business rabbit hole years ago when she used it to grow leads for her direct sales business. She’s been managing my Pinterest account for one year now and has helped dozens of other business owners do the same.
So today, not only are we going to pull back the curtain into my Pinterest data. But we will discuss why every business, no matter the type of business or product you sell – can benefit by using an active blog and Pinterest account to grow their leads exponentially.
My 12 month Pinterest Data
And when we say exponentially, we mean it. Before using Pinterest Marketing in February of 2020, I had around 3,233 email subscribers, and now one year later, my subscriber count is over 8,530. A 5,297 contact difference in subscribers due to my consistency using my blog and Pinterest Marketing. That’s a 164% growth in leads in 12 months.
$5,275 was my total Pinterest Ad spent from 2/1/20 – 2/1/21 which comes about to about $1 a lead on average. My leads, in the beginning, cost more than what my leads do today. Today leads cost between $.80 – $1.00. And by lead, I mean someone opting in for a lead magnet or paid product. They are giving me their email address in exchange for something.
When analyzing this data you can see at the 7-month mark is when my email list really starts to take off and grow.

A. Find your place on the WWW. You need to think about your business outside of the city you are in {think globally}, think outside of your brick and mortar {pandemic, and small businesses going under}. If 2020 has taught us anything in business, it would be that “now is the time to STEP UP our online marketing in 2021.”

Blogging is good for SEO because it helps with a number of things that are important ranking factors. You must keep in mind that people on Pinterest are looking for a solution. For instance, for a boutique shopper, they are thinking, “Tell me what outfit I need to wear TOP to BOTTOM and deliver it to my house.” or “What do I wear leather leggings with?”

5 – CTA on the blog post grows email subscribers and sales
You never want to send people to your blog post without another step or CALL TO ACTION for them to take next. When your lead magnet content relates to the topic of the blog it makes sense for them to also want your lead magnet or to shop your products. They give you their email address and you just scored another lead!
